Biltong (along with braaivleis) is possibly one of the most iconic South African foods out there… and just like “how do you make the perfect steak”, when asking 100 South Africans who makes the best biltong, you’re likely going to get 100 answers. If you’re asking about GEELVET biltong, you’re likely going to get even more.
For me personally, Bester’s Butchery in Bloemfontein HAS to be there in the top 10 biltong (and geelvet biltong specifically) makers in the country… most definitely rated the best in Bloemfontein for me.
