I can’t believe I’ve been braaing non-stop now for just over 14 months.
Actually I can: I need to eat every day and I love to braai, so why not braai instead of cooking food in an oven or microwave, or ordering it from the local take-away? What I REALLY can’t believe is that it’s taken me this long to launch BraaiBoy.co.za, especially since one of my day jobs revolve around developing web sites and web applications. I guess it’s a case of the shoemaker’s kids not having any shoes???
Anyway, I’ve been promising everyone that I’d have the site launched (shortly after starting my quest) and they could follow my adventures as I went along… and I finally made good on that promise ?
The site is still far from “complete”, but if I waited until I was entirely happy with it, I was never going to get around to it. The biggest thing I’m working on right now is collating 14 months’ worth of images, labeling them and uploading it (a couple of GB’s worth :-)) onto Flickr. Once that’s done, I’ll be adding some recipes, jokes (if I can remember them), even a video or two of some cool party tricks that you can use at your next braai, and of course some random ramblings of me and my adventures.
So folks, here’s a toast to BraaiBoy.co.za going live… go out and tell all your friends, and please feel free to keep coming back for more.
