The BraaiBoy & Rep En Roer partnership started sometime in 2024, but I’d been hanging out there for quite some time before that. Those that know me, know how much I love my live music, and along with live music a cold beer goes down a treat! It was inevitable that I would start hanging out at Rep en Roer a lot.
It just so happened that Rep en Roer were already stocking Monjoh’s Chilli Sauces. One day while Johan (Monjoh’s Sauces) and I were kuiering at Rep En Roer, the topic of chilli wings came up… as it generally does… and SHOULD ;-).
Now if you don’t know what I’m talking about, do yourself a favour and go try BraaiBoy’s Smoked Wings with Monjoh’s Hot Chilli Sauce. Rep en Roer also stocks the full Monjoh’s Sauces range… so if you’re not feeling adventurous enough for the Hot, you can ask for it in Medium… or even the super mild Chilli-Mayo.
… but I digress. As I was saying: Johan & I were chatting about how delicious the wings were, and how they were flying (no pun intended) out the kitchen when I still had my Bistro in Hatfield. One of the owners (already a big fan of the sauce on his regular braai wings) asked if I would come do a live demo smoke one Friday.

One Friday eventually lead to 2 months of “FREE Wings at Rep En Roer”. The 1st 50 people to pop in to the bar after 15h00 on a Friday got FREE WINGS… it was that simple.
Rep en Roer eventually got their own smoker and now permanently offer BBQ Smoked Foods on their menu.
Every few months, they invite me to come do a demo smoke to treat their regulars, and 2 or 3 times a year we host a Smoke School / BBQ Training Day at Rep En Roer. Keep an eye out of both Rep En Roer Facebook pages as well as all my socials (follow me: @BraaiBoy on all social media)
